We've been busy in Kapowai Pod. We had a lot of fun using the apps Brain VR and Quivervision to explore augmented reality during our exploration workshops. If you want to explore this at home with a smart phone or tablet, check out this video about Quivervision.

City Gallery and Te Papa

We had a fantastic time at City Gallery and Te Papa last week. We learnt about Maori Cultural art and then enjoyed exploring the new nature exhibit at Te Papa. While we were at the City Gallery we made our own screen prints of gourds with letters that symbolise something of our choice. You can see them up close in the Learning Street before they go home at the end of term.

Special Treat Heading Home

Room 5 have been keeping busy preparing a Special Treat. Room 5 have been busy making some special gifts for a special someone for Christmas. They have even decorated the wrapping paper themselves. Here are some of the wrapped up presents.

EOTC Week and Zoo Sleepover

We had a super busy Week 4! We had a jampacked week full of a Library walk, Otari Bush activities, two days of school rotations, movie making and finally our Zoo sleepover! Check out some photos from the week below.
